- It is designed to give you powerful tips and strategies for overcoming a tobacco addiction.
- Two options are available for taking the class: (1) in a small group setting or (2) with individual counseling sessions.
- You will meet with a Registered Nurse before the first class. During this initial meeting, a nurse will take a health and tobacco history, vital signs, and a conduct a carbon monoxide screening (for those who smoke). Because of this, the program will be tailored to your individual needs.
- This program utilizes instruction, videos, group discussion, individual reflection, and much more.
- You can register for the program on this website. > Registration
- You will connect with others desiring to be free of tobacco use. Group support is an important facet of this program.
- The program cost is $100.00, which includes a comprehensive manual and all the supplies used in the class.
- Scholarships are available (on a sliding scale) for those who cannot afford this cost.
- New classes will be starting at The River Center in September, 2010. Dates and times will be announced later. For more information about The River Center, see the link below.
